Bamla is growing, and we’ve welcomed a new addition to the team!
We’re excited to introduce Eerika Simola, who joins Bamla as our new PR & Comms Intern. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Marketing at Hanken School of Economics and brings previous experience from a communications agency, where she worked in PR, brand activations and influencer campaigns.
In her role at Bamla, Eerika will support the team across content production, campaign planning and media relations.
What made you apply to Bamla?
My interest in Bamla grew from wanting to build on my previous experience at a communications agency and gain a broader understanding of how PR projects are planned and carried out from start to finish. Having already worked across communications, brand activations and influencer relations, I was keen to deepen my knowledge on media relations and strategic communications.
Bamla stood out to me because of its varied client portfolio and the opportunity to work across different industries and assignments. I was also particularly interested in Bamla’s work across the Nordic markets and the opportunity to contribute to projects beyond Finland. The hands-on way of working and the chance to contribute to projects while learning from an experienced team also appealed to me.
I’m looking forward to broadening my experience, taking on new responsibilities and growing into a more versatile communications professional.
What influencer marketing trends are you enjoying right now?
I like that influencer marketing seems to be moving towards more natural and less polished content, with more everyday and behind-the-scenes moments. From a brand or an agency perspective, it is interesting to see more focus on finding creators who genuinely fit the brand rather than simply choosing the biggest audience. This also helps explain why micro-influencers are getting more attention.
Collaborations feel strongest when they fit naturally into the creator’s usual content. I also like seeing more long-term partnerships, where the connection between the creator and the brand has time to develop more naturally. With so much advertising on social media, these kinds of authentic partnerships can help brands build trust, credibility and ultimately drive sales.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work and studies, I enjoy staying active through different forms of exercise, including going to the gym and doing pilates. My latest interest though is megaformer training. I also love good food and enjoy discovering new restaurants and cafés.
A warm welcome to Eerika!
