We’re excited to introduce Aino Ojala, who joins Bamla as our new PR & Comms Intern. Aino comes from a marketing background and has hands-on experience from Tiketti, where she worked across brand and event marketing. She holds a BSc in Marketing from Aalto University and is currently pursuing her studies in the MSc programme.
In her role at Bamla, Aino will be working with a focus on content creation, social media strategy, and impactful digital communications.
What made you apply to Bamla?
I’ve always been someone who follows what’s happening in the world and in the media, and that naturally pulled me towards PR and communications. In addition, I’ve always loved writing, and I really enjoy finding new and interesting ways to explain complex topics.
What drew me to Bamla is the chance to learn how PR and strategic communications are done in practice, alongside a team I felt I could learn a lot from. I was also genuinely excited by Bamla’s client portfolio and the opportunity to dive deeper into the technological, financial, and industrial sectors our clients operate in.
What trends are shaping social media right now? What should companies keep in mind in 2026?
Social media is starting to function more like a search engine. People go there to look for answers, tips and recommendations, which is why clarity and discoverability are extremely important. Content that is written in straightforward language and clear terms is easier to find and understand than posts that are full of industry slang.
Longer-form content also seems to be making a comeback, especially when it’s genuinely useful and engaging. This doesn’t mean that short-form content isn’t relevant anymore, but as people tend to be digitally overstimulated, there seems to be a growing demand for more thoughtful content.
For 2026, I would recommend companies to keep these things in mind:
- Make your content easy to find and genuinely helpful. Think about the questions your audience asks and create content that answers them directly.
- Build easily repeatable content formats. A consistent series helps the audience recognise your brand at a time when there’s more content than ever.
- Show the people behind your company. Trust is easier to gain through real people and real interactions, so investing in people-led content and active community management will matter more than ever before.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I try to stay active with the gym, pilates, long walks, or anything that gets me outdoors. I also love exploring new restaurants in Helsinki, and I’m always up for good food and good company. There’s also a good chance you’ll run into me at a gig since live music is one of the best things I know!
A warm welcome to Aino!
